We welcomed Dr. Ganesh Raja on our campus today for a lecture. We were informed about the M-Ward, an initiative by Tiss, Mumbai. M Ward - the microcosm of the city : an extreme example of skewed development.
We were told about the state of poverty and malnutrition present in the slums of Mumbai - 85% of the M-Ward lives in slums. That single statements sums up everything.
He briefed us about various initiatives and projects undertaken by the Kotal Education Foundation. Students turned up with the excitement of getting live projects to work on. They were not disappointed. It was an interactive session which enthused the students to take initiatives towards the betterment of the society. He was impressed by the ideas and questions proposed and asked by the students. We surely wont boast, but we have a bunch of intelligent lads who can crack any institution in the country (Bring on)
